A little bit about me and why I do what I do
I feel you should know a bit about the artist you choose to put your trust into. So here is a little bit about me and what I believe in. I hope reading the following biography makes you feel confident that I am right artist for you
My name is Kseniia and I am a European trained permanent makeup (PMU) master level artist. Prior to specializing in hyperrealism I used to do microblading for 3 years.
I was never happy with the results of even the best microblading, therefore, I didn't feel right offering a service I considered flawed in it’s core technique. I knew there had to be a better method to accomplish the results I was after but I hadn’t yet discovered it.
I was always let down with the fact that microblading didn't look natural. These fake looking results weren't what I would have wanted as a paying client. I would not have been satisfied and as a result I knew I had to find a better solution for my clients. My ultimate goal when I set out on my hunt was to discover the best way to recreate natural looking eye brows.
While researching alternatives to microblading I came across the work of some revolutionary Russian artists who were pioneering what is now referred to as hyperrealism in the PMU scene. When I first saw the brows they were doing I was blown away. I had found exactly what I was after. All I had to do now was learn this art form! Easier said then done...
The new forms of PMU I had discovered quickly became my obsession. I stopped doing microblading and I pursued my training full time. I trained under the best Russian masters and took all of their courses. Courses which are only offered in Russian and as a result I became one of the first North American PMU artists to actually train under Anna Kutsevolova and Oksana Martynenko. Under these master artists I studied the techniques of Nano Brows, Cashmere Brows and Powder Brows. Anna Kutsevolova is considered the world expert on Hyperrealistic natural looking brows. In North America her techniques are sometimes also called Machine Strokes. Aside from studying these PMU techniques I also studied pigmentology under Sergei Khrebtov. I believe a true artist needs to understand their technique, however, of equal importance is the understanding of the tools used to accomplish the job using the chosen technique.
I graduated from Anna Kutsevolova’s course as the top student out of over 150 in my class. She was kind enough to tell me I was one of the best and most dedicated students she ever had. She continued to follow my work after I graduated and recently she invited me to personally help teach her future courses. An achievement I am incredibly proud of. To work side by side with her is the biggest honour I could ever have as a PMU artist. During lockdown in 2021 I also took part in the Russian PMU Congress which is considered one of the most prestigious annual PMU events globally. Aside from brows I have also trained in the areas of permanent eye liners and laser tattoo removal. I am currently pursuing studies in lip liners and lip pigmentation.
I am an artist at heart and attended art school in Ukraine. I have travelled abroad all over Eastern Europe and have also lived in China for a brief period. I love natural beauty and my goals are to help women feel more confident being themselves. I have struggled with anxiety and self esteem issues myself and my journey as an artist has helped me overcome many of those difficult hurdles. I hope that I can help other women learn to better love themselves.
Like most things in life, the PMU world is continually evolving and I believe it is an artists duty to do the same. I believe in continual growth and development. I am always furthering my knowledge by taking PMU courses and studying new techniques.
As mentioned above, I am the first PMU master artist in Canada who offers true hyperrealism.
I provide quality work and guaranteed results. Just take a look at my work, it speaks for itself.
In order to ensure my results are always uniform I perform my procedures using the best equipment available in the industry. I use a Bishop Wand Shader and a Cheyenne Sol Terra as my tattoo machines. Also, I only use the highest quality European made pigments and premium quality disposable needles. The pigments I use are not magnetic and have stable colour particles giving long lasting natural colour. I practice proper aseptic technique, utilize top quality PPE and I am fully insured.
