Apprenticeship Course Overview
Welcome! I'm assuming you're here because you are interested in starting your career in the PMU industry. I’m happy to tell you, this is the right place to be!
I am pleased that you have chosen me as your teacher, but I would like to be more then just that. This apprenticeship is an opportunity for me to act as a mentor to you. I can guide you down a path to success by helping you build a strong foundation of knowledge, while tailoring my teaching to your specific needs. I promise to help you along every step of the way during this course.
ABOUT ME
I am a master level PMU artist... but what does that actually mean?
It means I have dedicated thousands of hours to PMU and all things associated, such as, training, practicing, running my studio and teaching.
These experiences have helped me develop a unique skill set.
My goal is to take the knowledge I have and pass it on to you in an effective and enjoyable way. I have developed this program based on my many positive experiences, in addition to, some of my failures. I have taken part in a large number of PMU related courses and training sessions over the years, some awesome and some awful. It has given me an understanding as to what teaching methods and approaches work well and which ones do not.
I remember when I was getting started, like you, I was passionate and wanted to start working in the industry as quickly as possible.
However, like many, I was naïve and underestimated how important proper training was. In order to succeed and grow your skills at an effective pace you need a strong foundation.
Think of a house as an analogy. You can’t build a sturdy house if you have a weak foundation. If you build the walls before you build a solid foundation for the walls to rest on, they will just collapse before you can get to building the second story or roof.
Certain skills take a lot of time and practice to develop. You can’t skip steps. You need to be determined to succeed. You can’t rush certain areas of development but with the proper guidance you can traverse these obstacles in a smooth and efficient fashion. That’s where I come in to help you.
WHY IS CHOOSING YOUR FIRST COURSE SO IMPORTANT?
The first course you take on your path to becoming a PMU artist is very important as it will set the bar towards building your future business model. You should strive to set this bar as high as possible.
Nothing can beat one on one training in a hands on environment.
Apprenticeships and on the job training are the gold standard in many industries because they work. Theory can only take you so far.
Tattoo artists do apprenticeships, so do electricians, plumbers and mechanics, even healthcare workers do practicum placements in hospitals or clinics. Nothing beats real world experience.
I offer a course like no one else.
Take full advantage of this amazing opportunity to kick start your PMU career and achieve your goals!
COURSE LAYOUT
Other trends come and go, natural beauty is always in style.
Hyperrealism is a technique which represents the art of natural looking permanent make up.
Hyperrealism is the next big thing, the over exaggerated features which have been trending for the last few years are in the downswing. People are once again putting more value on natural appearances.
The only way you can effectively learn the Hyperrealistic Nano Brow technique is if you already have some experience with PMU.
The Nano Brow technique is not for beginners, it is the most complicated PMU technique. It builds off many other techniques.
That is why Powder Brow training is included in this course. The Powder Brow technique is taught first and then we transition into the more complex technique of Hyperrealism. I guide you along the way step by step from the moment we start.
Experience has shown me that learning Powder Brows first helps make the transition to Hyperrealistic Nano Brows easier for students.
A PMU STARTER KIT IS INCLUDED WITH THE COURSE
When you start this course you will receive a full PMU starter kit, it is included in the price.
It includes everything you need to get started except a tattoo machine.
The reason I don't include the machine is because I will be teaching you about different types of machines and you will be able to choose which machine you feel would be best for you.
Also, purchasing the machine yourself allows you to have a full manufacturers warranty in case anything were to happen to the machine.
I believe PMU artists need to utilize professional level tools not cheap Alibaba or eBay knock off machines. You need the proper tools to achieve high end results.
This is not an area to cut corners.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE DETAILS ABOUT MY PERSONAL PMU JOURNEY THEN KEEP READING
From a young age I loved art, I went to art school in Ukraine and that is also when I developed an interest in natural beauty. I knew I wanted to do something related to the beauty industry, something that would help me fulfill my need to give back to others. Fast forward to 2015/2016 which is when I decided I wanted to get into permanent makeup. I had done a lot of research and decided that this was the career path I was going to pursue.
In 2017 I took my first formal education related to Nano Brows. It was an incredibly expensive group course but I had convinced myself it was the right choice. The course was around $6000 and they also forced you to buy a machine through them in order to take the course. The machine was an additional $5500. We were told it was the only machine on the market specifically designed for PMU and no other tattoo equipment would work well. We also received 1 pigment, 1 piece of latex to practice on, 3 needles and a ruler. Looking back I am disgusted with this and upset with myself for believing their marketing and lies. This expensive 2 day course consisted of 1 day of quick theory and training on latex. The second day was doing a procedure on a live model you had to arrange ahead of time. The course consisted mostly of beginners like me who had never even held a tattoo machine.
After one day of very basic in class learning the instructors provided all of us rookie students with live models and told us to tattoo their brows. We were expected to use our machines for the first time ever to essentially practice on someone’s face. When I look back on this now I think to myself, how could you allow a model to sign up for something like this with a clear conscience?
In order to receive a certificate of completion for the course you needed to do 6 more models in your own time after the 2 day in class and submit proof with pictures. If you did that they would provide a certificate. On the second day I did my first set of PMU brows on my model, who was a close friend of mine. They were awful. I was traumatized by the experience, so was she. At the end of the second day I came to the realization that I had just spent over $12000 on a 2 day course that taught me almost nothing.
The most valuable thing I learned was that I was not ready to do PMU and I felt terrible that I had done poor work on a model. I decided at that point that I would never hold another tattoo machine again. I just didn’t have what it takes... if you are reading this then you’ve probably already figured out that things may have actually worked out a little differently in the end...
Anyways, I was very embarrassed, traumatized and also felt like I had been robbed. It was one of the most important experiences in my entire PMU career. Once I reflected on it over the years I realized that it played a huge role in how I approach the industry, specifically training. I have always taken PMU very seriously, a client trusts you with their face. One of the most vulnerable parts of their body. They put all their trust in you. It is your job to respect that and to provide only the highest quality of work. If you cannot provide work you would be satisfied wearing then you should not do the procedure. That’s not to say that some procedures will turn out better then others, that’s expected, but the average level of the work you produce needs to be high. The clients wellbeing should always come first, I truly believe in this. We need to have a strong moral compass in this type of work, we cannot be reckless.
After the experiences I had over those 2 days, I never ended up doing my 6 models. I didn’t do any. I knew I wasn’t ready. I could not use a client as a guinea pig to learn on. That did not sit right with me morally. I stepped back for a few months and then decided I’d take a Microblading course instead. At the time Microblading was all the rage, everyone was doing it and everyone wanted it. Although I had learned a lot from the previous course experience I was still a little naïve and registered for the $3000 microblading course. It was a very popular course at a very popular academy. At the time their reputation was good and many artists recommended them. The course was laid out much better and I did complete everything but it still left a lot to be desired. I dedicated a lot of time into developing my skills and did Microblading for 4 years. Even near the end of that 4 years when I felt my level of skill was strong I was never satisfied with the results, especially in the long term. I knew there had to be a better technique. I was starting to see a lot of work coming out of Europe that was on a much higher level and I decided it was time to give Nano Brows another chance. Once again, I started doing a lot of research.
Fast forward to current times and I am where I am based on my many experiences, some good and some bad. Since taking that first terrible course many years ago I have taken many more courses in various areas of PMU. A few years ago after starting to research Nano Brow courses I finally found Anna Kutsevolova. It was also around the time COVID was starting. Anna’s work was mind blowing and her techniques were revolutionary. I had to close my studio due to COVID at the time and I decided that since I couldn’t work I would take her courses and finally pursue Hyperrealism. Her courses were laid out wonderfully and incredibly informative. Her approach and teaching style was excellent and I fell into a trance. I became obsessed, all I did was study and practice. Multiple hours a day, each day. I would do my homework assignments to perfection, redo them over and over until they were perfect. I was engaged with all the other students and the curators. It was exactly what I needed. I felt like I had found my spot. Anna’s courses took my career to the next level. After completing the courses with her we actually developed a friendship and she invited me to help her teach some of her online classes which later evolved into becoming her course ambassador in Canada. Which brings us to where we are now.
I have taken courses from all over the world and also helped teach multiple classes internationally. I have had the honor of working with many other world renowned PMU masters along the way. I have spent over $50,000 taking PMU associated courses since that first course and I still continue to further my education, it never ends. That first nightmare of a course I took set my career back a few years but also made me value quality education. I often think how much further along I would be if that first course was laid out properly and actually prepared me to work like they had promised it would. However, we all know that life doesn’t work like this and that hind sight is always 20/20. After taking Anna’s courses I feel like my career finally fell back into place along the path I always intended it to go.
My major goal in developing this one on one apprenticeship course is to help others avoid the early mistakes I made. I want to help artists develop strong foundational skills so they can pursue wonderful and rewarding careers in the PMU industry. I want to achieve this by providing students with the support and guidance they need to grow. My goal with every student is to build a long lasting professional relationship and continue to support each other throughout our careers. I believe that team work leads to a lot more overall success then competition. If we all support each other, we all do well.
No matter what you read or hear, don’t buy into the lie that you can learn PMU in a few days online or in a 2 day crash course. As the cliché goes, if it sounds to good to be true, it is.
Would you let someone tattoo your face after a 2 days crash course? Didn’t think so...
